WOW! Friday: Making history

Today, I’m sharing the wisdom of A. A. Hodge, late American theologian, missionary, writer, and many more. He said:

It is easier to find a score of men wise enough to discover the truth than to find one intrepid enough, in the face of opposition, to stand up for it.

I find that to be so true.

But another thing that I’ve found to be true and consistently so, is the fact that, through the course of human history, only the few intrepid ones – like Nelson Mandela, the Wright brothers, Martin Luther King Jnr., Mahatma Ghandi, etc – have written and rewritten history. These ones have succeeded in charting a course for others to follow. Their courage and integrity have marked them out as great, significant humans.

There’s a lesson in this for anyone who desires significance in their work and in this life.
